Prove me that evolution did it!

from the Michael Behe book, Darwin's Black Box

Evolutionists fancifully forges so many theories and wishful thinking as to how a organism 'evolved' from a simpler state, development to a fully formed one.. But they don't explain the details, surely because they make the seeming probability of evolution occurring even smaller (supposing that it actually had any probability to occur at all!)

Darwin himself found amazing and quite improbable for a eye, to have evolved through minute developments, improvement, during millions of years.. Let alone if he knew about that:

Biochemical sketch of
the eye's operatio
n:

When light first strikes the retina a photon interacts with a molecule
called 11-cis-retinal, which rearranges within picoseconds to trans-retinal.
(A picosecond is about the time it takes light to
travel the breadth of a single human hair.) The change in the shape of
the retinal molecule forces a change in the shape of the protein, rhodopsin,
to which the retinal is tightly bound. The protein's metamorphosis alters
its behavior. Now called metarhodopsin II, the protein sticks to another
protein, called transducin. Before bumping into metarhodopsin II,
transducin had tightly bound a small molecule called GDP. But when
transducin interacts with metarhodopsin II, the GDP falls off, and a
molecule called GTP binds to
transducin. (GTP is closely related to, but critically different from, GDP.)

GTP-transducin-metarhodopsin II now binds to a protein called
phosphodiesterase, located in the inner membrane of the cell. When
attached to metarhodopsin II and its entourage, the phosphodiesterase
acquires the chemical ability to «cut» a molecule called cGMP (a chemical
relative of both GDP and GTP). Initially there are a lot of cGMP molecules
in the cell, but the phosphodiesterase lowers its concentration, just as a
pulled plug lowers the water level in a bathtub.

Another membrane protein that binds cGMP is called an ion channel.
It acts as a gateway that regulates the number of sodium ions in the cell.
Normally the ion channel allows sodium ions to flow into the cell, while
a separate protein actively pumps them out again. The dual action of the
ion channel and pump keeps the level of sodium ions in the cell within a
narrow range. When the amount of cGMP is reduced because of cleavage
by the phosphodiesterase, the ion channel closes, causing the cellular
concentration of positively charged sodium ions to be reduced. This causes
an imbalance of charge across the cell membrane that, finally, causes a
current to be transmitted down the optic nerve to the brain. The result,
when interpreted by the brain, is vision.

If the reactions mentioned above were the only ones that operated in
the cell, the supply of 11-cis-retinal, cGMP and sodium ions would quickly
be depleted. Something has to turn off the proteins that were turned on
and restore the cell to its original state. Several mechanisms do this. First,
in the dark the ion channel (in addition to sodium ions) also lets calcium
ions into the cell. The calcium is pumped back out by a different protein so
that a constant calcium concentration is maintained. When cGMP levels
fall, shutting down the ion channel, calcium ion concentration decreases,
too. The phosphodiesterase enzyme, which destroys cGMP slows down at
lower calcium concentration. Second, a protein called guanylate cyclase
begins to resynthesize cGMP when calcium levels start to fall. Third,
while all of this is going on, metarhodopsin II is chemically modified by
an enzyme called rhodopsin kinase. The modified rhodopsin then binds to
a protein known as arrestin, which prevents the rhodopsin from activating
more transducin. So the cell contains mechanisms to limit the amplified
signal started by a single photon.

Trans-retinal eventually falls off of rhodopsin and must be reconverted
to 11-cis-retinal and again bound by rhodopsin to get back to the starting
point for another visual cycle. To accomplish this, trans-retinal is first
chemically modified by an enzyme to trans-retinol—a form containing
two more hydrogen atoms. A second enzyme then converts the molecule
to 11-cis-retinol. Finally, a third enzyme removes the previously added
hydrogen atoms to form 11-cis-rennal, a cycle is complete. .

And that...

BEETLE BOMBS

The bombardier beetle is an insect of unassuming appearance,
measuring about one half-inch in length. When it is threatened by another
bug, however, the beetle has a special method of defending itself, squirting
a boiling-hot solution at the enemy out of an aperture in its hind section.16
The heated liquid scalds its target, which then usually makes other plans
for dinner. How is this trick done?

It turns out that the bombardier beetle is using chemistry. Prior to battle,
specialized structures called secretory lobes make a very concentrated
mixture of two chemicals, hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinone.
The hydrogen peroxide is the same material as one can buy in a
drugstore; hydroquinone is used in photographic development. The
mixture is sent into a storage chamber called the collecting vesicle.
The collecting vesicle is connected to, but ordinarily sealed off from, a
second compartment called (evocatively) the explosion chamber. The
two compartments are kept separate from one another by a duct with a
sphincter muscle, much like the sphincter muscles upon which humans
depend for continence. Attached to the explosion chamber are a number
of small knobs called ectodermal glands; these secrete enzyme catalysts
into the explosion chamber. When the beetle feels threatened it squeezes
muscles surrounding the storage chamber while simultaneously relaxing
the sphincter muscle. This forces the solution of hydrogen peroxide and
hydroquinone to enter the explosion chamber, where it mixes with the
enzyme catalysts.

Now, chemically, things get very interesting. The hydrogen peroxide
rapidly decomposes into ordinary water and oxygen, just as a store-bought
bottle of hydrogen peroxide will decompose over time if left open. The
oxygen reacts with the hydroquinone to yield more water, plus a highly
irritating chemical called quinone. These reactions release a large quantity
of heat. The temperature of the solution rises to
the boiling point; in fact, a portion vaporizes into steam. The steam
and oxygen gas exert a great deal of pressure on the walk of the explosion
chamber. With the sphincter muscle now closed, a channel leading outward
from the beetle's body provides the only exit for the boiling mixture.
Muscles surrounding the channel allow the steam jet to be directed at the
source of danger. The end result is that the beetle's enemy is scalded by a
steaming solution of the toxic chemical quinone.

You may wonder why the mixture of hydrogen peroxide and quinone
did not react explosively when they were in the collecting vesicle. The
reason is that many chemical reactions occur quite slowly if there is no
easy way for the molecules to get together on the atomic level—otherwise,
this book would burst into flame as it reacted with oxygen in the air. As
an analogy, consider a locked door. There is no easy way for people (say,
teenage boys and girls) on opposite sides of the door to get together, even
if they would be happy to do so. If someone has the key, however, then the
door can be opened and proper introductions can be made. The enzyme
catalysts play the role of the key, allowing the hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinone to get together
on the atomic level so that a reaction can take place.

The cascade

The body commonly stores enzymes (proteins that catalyze a chemical
reaction, like the cleavage of fibrinogen) in an inactive form for later use.
The inactive forms are called proenzymes. When a signal is received that
a certain enzyme is needed, the corresponding proenzyme is activated to
give the mature enzyme. As with the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin,
proenzymes are often activated by cutting off a piece of the proenzyme
that is blocking a critical area. The strategy is commonly used with
digestive enzymes. Large quantities can be stored as inactive proenzymes,
then quickly activated when the next good meal comes along.

Thrombin initially exists as the inactive form, prothrombin. Because it
is inactive, prothrombin can't cleave fibrinogen, and the animal is saved
from death by massive, inappropriate clotting. Still, the dilemma of control
remains. If the cartoon saw were inactivated, the telephone pole would not
fall at the wrong time. If nothing switches on the saw, however, then it
would never cut the rope; the pole wouldn't fall even at the right time. If
fibrinogen and prothrombin were the only proteins in the blood-clotting
pathway, again our animal would be in bad shape. When the animal
was cut, prothrombin would just float helplessly by the fibrinogen as the
animal bled to death. Because prothrombin cannot cleave fibrinogen to
fibrin, something is needed to activate prothrombin.

Perhaps the reader can see why the blood-clotting system is called a
cascade—a system where one component activates another component,
which activates a third component, and so on.

A protein called Stuart factor cleaves prothrombin, turning it into active
thrombin that can then cleave fibrinogen to fibrin to form the blood clot.
Unfortunately, as you may have guessed, if Stuart factor, prothrombin,
and fibrinogen were the only blood-clotting proteins, then Stuart factor
would rapidly trigger the cascade, congealing all the blood of the organism. So Stuart factor also exists in an inactive
form that must first be activated.

At this point there's a little twist to our developing chicken-and-egg
scenario. Even activated Stuart factor can't turn on prothrombin. Stuart
factor and prothrombin can be mixed in a test tube for longer than it would
take a large animal to bleed to death without any noticeable production
of thrombin. It turns out that another protein, called accelerin, is needed
to increase the activity of Stuart factor. The dynamic duo—accelerin
and activated Stuart factor— cleave prothrombin fast enough to do the
bleeding animal some good. So in this step we need two separate proteins
to activate one proenzyme.

Yes, accelerin also initially exists in an inactive form, called proaccelerin
(sigh). And what activates it? Thrombin! But thrombin, as we have seen,
is further down the regulatory cascade than proaccelerin. So thrombin
regulating the production of accelerin is like having the granddaughter
regulate production of the grandmother. Nonetheless, due to a very low
rate of cleavage of prothrombin by Stuart factor, it seems there is always
a trace of thrombin in the bloodstream. Blood clotting is therefore auto-
catalytic, because proteins in the cascade accelerate the production of
more of the same proteins.

We need to back up a little at this point because, as it turns out,
prothrombin as it is initially made by the cell can't be transformed into
thrombin, even in the presence of activated Stuart factor and accelerin.
Prothrombin must first be modified by having
ten specific amino acid residues, called glutamate (Glu) residues, changed
to «.-carboxyglutamate (Gla) residues. The modification can be compared
to placing a lower jaw onto the upper jaw of a skull. The completed
structure can bite and hang on to the bitten object; without the lower jaw,
the skull couldn't hang on. In the case of prothrombin, Gla residues «bite»
(or bind) calcium, allowing prothrombin to stick to the surfaces of cells.
Only the intact, modified calcium-prothrombin complex, bound to a cell
membrane, can be cleaved by activated Stuart factor and accelerin to give
thrombin.

The modification of prothrombin does not happen by accident. Like
virtually all biochemical reactions, it requires catalysis by a specific enzyme. In addition to the enzyme, however, the conversion of Glu
to Gla needs another component: vitamin K. Vitamin . is not a protein;
rather, it is a small molecule, like the 11-cis-retinal (described in Chapter 1)
that is necessary for vision. Like a gun that needs bullets, the enzyme that
changes Glu to Gla needs vitamin . to work. One type of rat poison is
based on the role that vitamin . plays in blood coagulation. The synthetic
poison, called «warfarin» (for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Fund,
which receives a cut of the profits from its sale), was made to look like
vitamin . to the enzyme that uses it. In the presence of warfarin the
enzyme is unable to modify prothrombin. When rats eat food poisoned
with warfarin, prothrombin is neither modified nor cleaved, and the
poisoned animals bleed to death.

But it still seems we haven't made much progress—now we have to
go back and ask what activates Stuart factor. It turns out that it can be
activated by two different routes, called the intrinsic and the extrinsic
pathways. In the intrinsic pathway, all the proteins required for clotting
are contained in the blood plasma; in the extrinsic pathway, some clotting
proteins occur on cells. Let's first examine the intrinsic pathway

When an animal is cut, a protein called Hageman factor sticks to the
surface of cells near the wound. Bound Hageman factor is then cleaved by
a protein called HMK to yield activated Hageman factor. Immediately the
activated Hageman factor converts another protein, called prekallikrein, to
its active form, kallikrein. Kallikrein helps HMK speed up the conversion
of more Hageman factor to its active form. Activated Hageman factor
and HMK then together transform another protein, called ..., to its
active form. Activated ... in turn, together with the activated form of
another protein (discussed below) called convertin, switch a protein called
Christmas factor to its active form. Finally, activated Christmas factor,
together with antihemophilic factor (which is itself activated by thrombin
in a manner similar to that of proaccelerin) changes Stuart factor to its
active form.

Like the intrinsic pathway, the extrinsic pathway is also a cascade. The
extrinsic pathway begins when a protein called proconvertin is turned
into convertin by activated Hageman factor and thrombin. In the presence
of another protein, tissue factor, convertin changes Stuart factor to its active form. Tissue factor, however, only appears on the outside of cells that are usually not in contact with blood.

Therefore, only when an injury brings tissue into contact with blood
will the extrinsic pathway be initiated. (A cut plays a role similar to that
of Foghorn Leghorn picking up the dollar. It is the initiating event—
something outside of the cascade mechanism itself.)

The intrinsic and extrinsic pathways cross over at several points.
Hageman factor, activated by the intrinsic pathway, can switch on
proconvertin of the extrinsic pathway. Convertin can then feed back
into the intrinsic pathway to help activated ... activate Christmas
factor. Thrombin itself can trigger both branches of the clotting cascade
by activating antihemophilic factor, which is required to help activated
Christmas factor in the conversion of Stuart factor to its active form, and
also by activating proconvertin. .

And also we could explain the biochemical structure of a bacterium cilium, talk about a cell, made up of 20 types of amino acids L-handed, thousands of proteins, billions of DNA genes, or the "deliver system" of our organism, lymphatic system,
nervous system, etc...That`s enough to obliterated any naturalistic, atheist pseudo-theory, sad that many people has no clue about science, yet supports evolution as the final truth...

Thermodynamics vs. Evolutionism/ Termodinâmica vs evolucionismo - Parte 2

Thermodynamics vs. Evolutionism part 2 Termodinâmica vs Evolucionismo

Open vs. Closed Systems (sistema abertos vs fechados)

The classic evolutionist argument used in defending the postulates of evolutionism against the second law goes along the lines that “the second law applies only to a closed system, and life as we know it exists and evolved in an open system.”

The basis of this claim is the fact that while the second law is inviolate in a closed system (i.e., a system in which neither energy nor matter enter nor leave the system), an apparent limited reversal in the direction required by the law can exist in an open system (i.e., a system to which new energy or matter may be added) because energy may be added to the system.

Now, the entire universe is generally considered by evolutionists to be a closed system, so the second law dictates that within the universe, entropy as a whole is increasing.  In other words, things are tending to breaking down, becoming less organized, less complex, more random on a universal scale.  This trend (as described by Asimov above) is a scientifically observed phenomenon—fact, not theory.

The evolutionist rationale is simply that life on earth is an “exception” because we live in an open system: “The sun provides more than enough energy to drive things.” This supply of available energy, we are assured, adequately satisfies any objection to evolution on the basis of the second law.

But simply adding energy to a system doesn’t automatically cause reduced entropy (i.e., increased organized complexity).  Raw solar energy alone does not decrease entropy—in fact, it increases entropy, speeding up the natural processes that cause break-down, disorder, and disorganization on earth (consider, for example, your car’s paint job, a wooden fence, or a decomposing animal carcass, both with and then without the addition of solar radiation).

...there are no known violations of the second law of thermodynamics.  Ordinarily the second law is stated for isolated [closed] systems, but the second law applies equally well to open systems ... there is somehow associated with the field of far-from equilibrium phenomena the notion that the second law of thermodynamics fails for such systems.  It is important to make sure that this error does not perpetuate itself.”
[Dr. John Ross, Harvard scientist (evolutionist), Chemical and Engineering News, vol. 58, July 7, 1980, p. 40]

So, what is it that makes life possible within the earth’s biosphere, appearing to “violate” the second law of thermodynamics?
The apparent increase in organized complexity (i.e., decrease in entropy) found in biological systems requires two additional factors besides an open system and an available energy supply.  These are:
  1. a “program” (information) to direct the growth in organized complexity (um “programa” (informação) a dirigir o crescimento na complexidade organizada)
  2. a mechanism for storing and converting the incoming energy.
Each living organism’s DNA contains all the code (the “program” or “information”) needed to direct the process of building (or “organizing”) the organism up from seed or cell to a fully functional, mature specimen, complete with all the necessary instructions for maintaining and repairing each of its complex, organized, and integrated component systems.  This process continues throughout the life of the organism, essentially building-up and maintaining the organism’s physical structure faster than natural processes (as governed by the second law) can break it down.
Living systems also have the second essential component—their own built-in mechanisms for effectively converting and storing the incoming energy.  Plants use photosynthesis to convert the sun’s energy into usable, storable forms (e.g., proteins), while animals use metabolism to further convert and use the stored, usable, energy from the organisms which compose their diets.
So we see that living things seem to “violate” the second law because they have built-in programs (information) and energy conversion mechanisms that allow them to build up and maintain their physical structures “in spite of” the second law’s effects (which ultimately do prevail, as each organism eventually deteriorates and dies).
While this explains how living organisms may grow and thrive, thanks in part to the earth’s “open-system” biosphere, it does not offer any solution to the question of how life could spontaneously begin this process in the absence of the program directions and energy conversion mechanisms described above—nor how a simple living organism might produce the additional new program directions and alternative energy conversion mechanisms required in order for biological evolution to occur, producing the vast spectrum of biological variety and complexity observed by man.

Some evolutionists counter arguments quoting things which supposedly increases in order, such as snowflakes, salt grains, seeds, eggs! But, again, it's not true.

The “order” found in a snowflake or a crystal has nothing to do with increased information, organization or complexity, or available energy (i.e., reduced entropy).  The formation of molecules or atoms into geometric patterns such as snowflakes or crystals reflects movement towards equilibrium—a lower energy level, and a more stable arrangement of the molecules or atoms into simple, uniform, repeating structures with minimal complexity, and no function.  These are not examples of matter forming itself into more organized or more complex structures or systems (as postulated in evolutionist theory), even though they may certainly reflect “order” in the form of simple patterns.
Jeffrey Wicken (an evolutionist) has no problem recognizing the difference, having described it this way: (J. Wicken (evolucionista) não tem problema em reconhecer a diferença, descrevendo-a desta maneira:)
“‘Organized’ systems are to be carefully distinguished from ‘ordered’ systems.  Neither kind of system is ‘random,’ but whereas ordered systems are generated according to simple algorithms and therefore lack complexity, organized systems must be assembled element by element according to an external ‘wiring diagram’ with a high information content ...  Organization, then, is functional complexity and carries information.  It is non-random by design or by selection, rather than by the a priori necessity of crystallographic ‘order.’”
[Jeffrey S. Wicken, The Generation of Complexity in Evolution: A Thermodynamic and Information-Theoretical Discussion, Journal of Theoretical Biology, Vol. 77 (April 1979), p. 349]

Nobel Prize winner Ilya Prigogine also has no problem defining the difference:(Prêmio Nobel Ilya Prigogine igualmente não vê problema em definir a diferença:)
“The point is that in a non-isolated [open] system there exists a possibility for formation of ordered, low-entropy structures at sufficiently low temperatures.  This ordering principle is responsible for the appearance of ordered structures such as crystals as well as for the phenomena of phase transitions.  Unfortunately this principle cannot explain the formation of biological structures.”
[I. Prigogine, G. Nicolis and A. Babloyants, Physics Today 25(11):23 (1972)]
Thaxton, Bradley, and Olsen make the same clear distinction:
“As ice forms, energy (80 calories/gm) is liberated to the surroundings...  The entropy change is negative because the thermal configuration entropy (or disorder) of water is greater than that of ice, which is a highly ordered crystal...  It has often been argued by analogy to water crystallizing to ice that simple monomers may polymerize into complex molecules such as protein and DNA.  The analogy is clearly inappropriate, however...  The atomic bonding forces draw water molecules into an orderly crystalline array when the thermal agitation (or entropy driving force) is made sufficiently small by lowering the temperature.  Organic monomers such as amino acids resist combining at all at any temperature, however, much less in some orderly arrangement.” [C.B. Thaxton, W.L. Bradley, and R.L. Olsen, The Mystery of Life’s Origin: Reassessing Current Theories, Philosophical Library, New York, 1984, pp. 119-120.]
A analogia no entanto é claramente inapropriada.

Apart from what some evolutionists may say, the 2nd Law poses a very hard problem for the evolution, as acknowledged by some prominent defenders of the theory: (longe do que alguns evolucionistas possam dizer, a 2ª Lei demonstra um grave problema p/ evolução, como reconhecimento por alguns proeminentes defensores da teoria)
“The thermodynamicist immediately clarifies the latter question by pointing out that ... biological systems are open, and exchange both energy and matter.  The explanation, however, is not completely satisfying, because it still leaves open the problem of how or why the ordering process has arisen (an apparent lowering of the entropy), and a number of scientists have wrestled with this issue.  Bertalanffy (1968) called the relation between irreversible thermodynamics and information theory one of the most fundamental unsolved problems in biology.”
[C. J. Smith, Biosystems 1:259 (1975)]
“We have repeatedly emphasized the fundamental problems posed for the biologist by the fact of life’s complex organization.  We have seen that organization requires work for its maintenance and that the universal quest for food is in part to provide the energy needed for this work.  But the simple expenditure of energy is not sufficient to develop and maintain order.  A bull in a china shop performs work but he neither creates nor maintains organization.  The work needed is particular work; it must follow specifications; it requires information on how to proceed.”
[G.G. Simpson and W.S. Beck, Life: An Introduction to Biology, Harcourt, Brace, and World, New York, 1965, p. 465]

Thermodynamics vs. Evolutionism/ Termodinâmica vs evolucionismo - Parte 1

Thermodynamics vs. Evolutionism
Termodinâmica vs Evolucionismo

The debate between proponents of evolutionism and creation scientists concerning thermodynamics seems likely to continue without end.  This is not because the laws of thermodynamics (and their ramifications) are subject to debate or relativistic interpretation, but because a handful of dogmatic evolutionists continue to vocally and energetically deny the truth concerning a simple matter of scientific knowledge:

The second law presents an insurmountable problem to the concept of a natural, mechanistic process: (1) by which the physical universe could have formed spontaneously from nothing, and (2) by which biological life could have arisen and diversified (also spontaneously) from a non-living, inanimate world.  (Both postulates form essential planks in the platform of evolutionary theory in general.)

While many highly qualified scientists who number themselves in the camp of evolutionism are candid enough to acknowledge this problem, the propagandists of evolution prefer to claim the only “problem” is that creationists misunderstand” real thermodynamics.

Let's first understand the concept of  thermodynamics in its essence:

The essence of Classical Thermodynamics concerns itself with the relationship between: (A essência da termodinâmica clássica diz respeito a relação entre:)
  1. heat (calor)
  2. mechanical energy (energia mecânica)
            and (e)
  3. the conversion of either of these into the other (a conversão de qualquer destes ao outro)
All matters of physics, chemistry, and biological processes known to man, are universally subject—without exception—to the first and second laws of thermodynamics —hereafter, simply “the first law” and “the second law”. While the properties of heat and useable energy may not seem particularly significant in a debate concerning origins, the first and second laws (which govern those properties and their transformations) speak profoundly to the nature of matter, energy, and therefore the universe itself.  Within the realm of science, these are among the most immovable, universal laws of science, as the following scientific authorities testify:

“[A law] is more impressive the greater the simplicity of its premises, the more different are the kinds of things it relates, and the more extended its range of applicability.  Therefore, the deep impression which classical thermodynamics made on me.  It is the only physical theory of universal content which I am convinced, that within the framework of applicability of it basic concepts will never be overthrown.”

[Albert Einstein, quoted in M.J. Klein, “Thermodynamics in Einstein’s Universe”, in Science, 157 (1967), p. 509 and in Isaac Asimov’s Book of Science and Nature Quotations, p. 76.]

“No matter how carefully we examine the energetics of living systems we find no evidence of defeat of thermodynamic principles.”
[Harold Blum, Time’s Arrow and Evolution (1962), p. 119.]

“If your theory is found to be against the second law of thermodynamics, I can give you no hope; there is nothing for [your theory] but to collapse in the deepest humiliation.”
[Arthur S. Eddington, The Nature of the Physical World (1930), p. 74.]

“The second law of thermodynamics not only is a principle of wide reaching scope and application, but also is one which has never failed to satisfy the severest test of experiment.  The numerous quantitative relations derived from this law have been subjected to more and more accurate experimental investigations without the detection of the slightest inaccuracy.”
[G.N. Lewis and M. Randall, Thermodynamics (1961), p. 87.]

“There is thus no justification for the view, often glibly repeated, that the Second Law of Thermodynamics is only statistically true, in the sense that microscopic violations repeatedly occur, but never violations of any serious magnitude.  On the contrary, no evidence has ever been presented that the Second Law breaks down under any circumstances.”
[A.B. Pippard, Elements of Chemical Thermodynamics for Advanced Students of Physics (1966), p. 100.]

“Although it is true that the amount of matter in the universe is perpetually changing, the change appears to be mainly in one direction—toward dissolution .  The sun is slowly but surely burning out, the stars are dying embers, and everywhere the cosmos heart is turning to cold; matter is dissolving into radiation, and energy is being dissipated into empty space.
“The universe is thus progressing toward an ultimate ‘heat death’ or, as it is technically defined, a condition of ‘maximum entropy’ . . And there is no way of avoiding this destiny.  For the fateful principle known as the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which stands today as the principal pillar of classical physics left intact by the march of science, proclaims that the fundamental processes of nature are irreversible.  Nature moves only one way.”
embers[Lincoln Barnett, The Universe and Dr. Einstein (1957), pp. 102-103.]

)

“...there are no known violations of the second law of thermodynamics....”
[Dr. John Ross, Harvard scientist, Chemical and Engineering News, vol. 58, July 7, 1980, p. 40]

The First Law (A 1ª Lei)

Since the controversy between evolutionists and thermodynamics involves mainly the second law, we will only briefly look at the first law, sometimes referred to as the law of conservation, which tells us essentially that:
Nothing is now coming into existence or going out of existence; matter and energy may be converted into one another, but there is no net increase in the combined total of what exists.

Regarding this first law, Isaac Asimov offers this noteworthy comment: (com relação a 1ª Lei, I. Asimov oferece este notável comentário)
“This law is considered the most powerful and most fundamental generalization about the universe that scientists have ever been able to make.  No one knows why energy is conserved... All that anyone can say is that in over a century and a quarter of careful measurement scientists have never been able to point to a definite violation of energy conservation, either in the familiar everyday surroundings about us, or in the heavens above or in the atoms within.”
[Smithsonian Institution Journal, 1970, p.6]

The Second Law

On the other hand, the second law tells us what can and cannot take place in terms of the relationships and transformations between matter, energy, and work, and their respective properties, as well as those of information and complexity, saying

Every system, left to its own devices, always tends to move from order to disorder, its energy tending to be transformed into lower levels of availability (for work), ultimately becoming totally random and unavailable for work.
       ...or...
The entropy of a closed system cannot decrease.

Evolutionist theory faces a problem in the second law, since the law is plainly understood to indicate (as does empirical observation) that things tend towards disorder, simplicity, randomness, and disorganization, while the theory insists that precisely the opposite has been taking place since the universe began.

Beginning with the “Big Bang” and the self-formation and expansion of space and matter, the evolutionist scenario declares that every structure, system, and relationship—down to every atom, molecule, and beyond—is the result of a loosely-defined, spontaneous self-assembly process of increasing organization and complexity, and a direct contradiction of the second law.

Continuing to ignore the second law, the supposed hypothesis of a particularly vast and complex (but random) act of self-assembly molecules tooking place, thus producing the first self-replicating molecule. This phenomenon is said to have undergone multiple further random increases in complexity and organization, producing a unique combination of highly specialized and suitably matched molecular “community members” which formed what we now know as the incredibly efficient, organized self-sustaining complex of integrated machinery called the cell.

Perhaps the reader should be reminded (or informed) at this point that not one shred of unequivocal evidence exists to support the above described self-creation myth.  Yet very ironically, it’s the only origins account treated in the popular and science media, nicely blurring in the public mind the distinction between bona fide science and popular beliefs.

simbolismo semelhante em outras porções desse li TO.
pessoa, a Satanás.

caiu: a cruz.

enfermos, abençoando os pobres, confortando os sofredores e perdoando os pecadores (cf. Lc 9:56;

quatro ângulos do céu" (Jr 49:36).
leste, oeste".
(Is 40:22).

Entretanto,

fadigas e cantar louvores a Deus.
caminham lado a lado.

no mundo" (1 Jo 4:4).
